    STPI is a Autonomous Society under Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India. Setup in 1991, Software Technology Parks of India, an autonomous body under Ministry of Information Technology is working with the aim making India a global software leader.

    It has been constant efforts of STPI to convert small cities potentially lucrative zones for software developement. With this aim STPI,Pune has opened its new center at Aurangabad,Nagpur & Nashik with state-of-the-art communication facilities.It will be soon launching its center at Kolhapur.

    SEAP consists of large to small business houses, it aims to foster better interaction among Software Export units in Pune and play a very important role for its member companies. Various problems faced by any company can be addressed to SEAP and help comes readily from within the other member companies. Any problem is resolved by suggestions and solutions coming from other companies having faced the similar problem. SEAP acts like a large pool of resources, which other members can easily access to find the right solution.

    SEAP also acts as a single body representative for the software companies and puts forth its proposals and demands for larger IT related issues with the concerned authorities. It has also received positive response from various authorities regarding its role. Representing various problems as a single body helps them to clearly understand the problems that are faced and provide a quick and reasonable solution. It endeavors to work for the betterment of its member exporters by providing various services (viz. communication, commercial or financial help) that are beneficial to them and guiding them in Export-related activities through proper training programs, meetings, seminars, and lectures.
